I was able today to get a full day in helping Dad combine corn, instead of just one or two loads in the evening. I took a bunch of pictures of us in action all day long also...
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Dad and I finished up the dryland corn this afternoon, it made roughly 170 bushels an acre and the last load at the elevator tested 15.3% moisture. Got started on the irragated just knocked out a few end rows. Talking rain for tomorrow here in Northeast Nebraska.
Just wanted to share. Thanks.

wow awsome!! i really like your tractors, its obvious you take real good care of them. Can i ask you some questions about the combine? Ive never seen any Gleaner combines over here in Northern Ireland apart from some real old ones from the 60's. Is Gleaner now manufactured by AGCO?
Thanks Rory

Some very nice equipment there. I spent the better of the weekend in an F2 combining corn and it was an excellent weekend for it. Corn yielding around 200 bpa in this part of the country, and around 16% moisture.

Yes it is Rory. I think the silver Gleaners are only available in the US and Canada ? I'm sure AGCO (UK) wouldn't want them competing against Massey Ferguson. Here in New Zealand you can't even get an AGCO tractor. Buy a MF or a Valtra they say. |
