Neighbor lady, landlord for the farm is selling me a shedded big bin 66 All Crop for cheap, her Father bought it new in town. Her daughter in law gave me a 60 parts machine that had been setting in the barnyard for years, I drug that one home last night. I hope to get the shedded one home and in the barn in the next couple nights, it looks pretty sharp considering from Norm Swinfords serial number list it is a 54, the 60 appears to be a 1948. This makes 4 in our neighborhood saved from the scrap man in the last 6 months!

Good job -- they can be difficult to move and store - glad you could save the old girls.

I had 3 of them that was used on the family farm. After the family stopped farming they were backed into the woods. I am now 21 and I wanted to fix the combines up. Sadly it is now to late. They were badly rusted after setting so long and tore up just moving them. They went to the scrapper :(. I did keep the "caution/warning"plates.

For anyone else that has to go the route of scrapping an All Crop, please consider getting with Tom or others here that can give you a list of easy to remove parts that would be good to save prior to scrapping. Even after sitting for years in the weather, some of the parts could still be very usable. We had four on the farm in different stages of disrepair... down to three now. I've been able to help a few folks out with parts. Just my 2 cents worth...

Yes for sure. A lot of parts would be very expensive to make. Castings come to mind. Often they are still good.

Tom the one in Attica is very close to where I grew up but three hours from where I live now. I'd give 200$ if it were a bunch closer.
