I am searching high and low with no luck trying to find good body panels for my 72 C50 flat bed.  The fenders, hood, grill, and a little bit of the cab (rockers and part of the floor) are all rusted pretty good.  Does anyone that is somewhat close to Kentucky know of any good ones that are for sale (either the entire front clip, or the whole truck if the price is right)?  I am banging my head against the wall at this point.  It's getting harder and harder to convince the old man not the scrap the truck... good motor, frame, transmission and tires, just bad body work...

Thanks

Have you tried LMC Truck? How about Classic Industries? Pretty good chance some of that stuff is the same as the C10-C30.

I tried that and am planning on using that to repair the cab if need be, but the fenders, hood, and grill are all distinct from the smaller trucks, and no one makes them after-market, meaning either find good used ones or buy a mig welder and learn to do body work.

Hurst, You should check wrecking yards out west.  Most trucks don't rust very much except for the cab corners and floors also some lower fender damage.  Maybe Google wrecking yards in various western states.  West Texas, New Mexico, Arizona and California would be your best choice.

I've thought about that, but wondered how shipping would work out.  I feel like that might cost more than the parts...

If you can find what you need out west -- make a road trip -- wonderful learing experience and a lot of fun -- still cost money, but later in life you will look back and see it was woth it. Take a friend and see the country.
