I just purchased a fine running WD and have question about the 2 point lift. The 2 point lift will go up and down until I put a load on it, then it has no lift, I can stop it from rising up by standing on it. This tractor has a loader with a hydrauhlic tilt bucket on it, which operates OK. I am wondering if the hydraulic set up used for the tilt bucket and loader overrides the capability of the 2 point lift? If I take the loader off, will the lift operate OK? They are feeding the 2 lever valve assemblly for the loader and bucket with a hose from the rear of the tractor, the other side of the lever control goes back to the hydrauhlic return on the left side of the pump housing.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Pictures would greatly help on this one, and it could be also low on hydraulic oil. Steve

Do you have a seperate pump for the loader? Sounds like the standard hyd pump went south.

Thanks for ideas, the hydrauhlic fluid is full, and the loader operates good. Everything is run by the pump on the tractor, no external pump for the loader.

Shareing the pressure the Lift won't have and pressure untill the loader is at full extension or stalled. If you want to use it either disconnect the hyd line to the loader or install a shutoff valve in it. Don't use a plumbing valve for a shutoff. I have two angle iron pieces cut for ram stops and clamp them to the rams. let the loader down againgst the stops and disconnect the loader hose. Its not convient but I've only used it a couple times. Uasually I just use the other tractor, and leave the loader tractor alone.

Thank you Dakota Dave, I was thinking that may be my problem. I want to take the loader off and use the tractor without it most of the time. When I do that, then I will see if the lift works OK.
Thanks everyone.
