These two pics are for sale on eBay, and I just stole... er... borrowed them. Lots of good detail on how they came from the factory.

Did the WD45 have different locations for the battery during its production?.On  every one I have seen, the battery is on the other side.

Wd45 battery looks to be in the right place to me.  Always thought they were centered behind the starter.  Would you be thinking of a WC?  The styled ones had the battery on the left side frame rail.

WD & WD45 batteries are centered under the edge of the gas tank, like Aaron said.

What is that thing on the CA ....a corn planter?  that'd probly be a pretty sweet little rig if it is.

No fertilizer though??

The back wheels on the CA look like what my Dad had on his, 13-24 or the same as a 14.9-24 today. He had his changed out the first time he tried discing plowed ground, didn't like the narrower ones.
The cultivator frame could be used for side dressing fertilizer and also had parts to switch it to a planter.

That CA looks like it has a pin hitch drawbar, I can't tell for sure. It also looks to have the new style late 52 ?? air cleaner. If both are true this must be a late 52b tractor, just before the SC came out.

Whats on the front grill of the 45 just above the wire screen mesh? Is that a glare, or a AC diamond sticker?

I love the picture of the "45". I would guess it was taken at a County Fair. Maybe the girl on the tractor is the Dairy Princess for that county?
I can remember when the local A-C dealer displayed the WDs, then WD-45s at the fair.
They used to dig holes in the ground where they demonstarted the innovative (at the time)  "Power-Adjust" wheels. That CA looks great too! It would have been very unusual back in those days to see such large tires on a CA but they sure do look good!!
Thanks so much for sharing?

I think that the CA has a planter on it They look like  disk openers. That would be a reason that the cultivator teeth are missing. The hopper looks like my planter hopper on my B. it discharges from underneath where as the fertilizer sidedresser discharges off of the side and usually had 2 tubes, 1 for each side of the row, Bob
