I know!!, AC never made a 7000 series FWA tractor but I have always wondered what one would look like. A few weeks ago Dave Maddux was here and we were talking about it, and then a few days later someone on the forum brought up the subject. Soooo, I decided to build this 7080 with interchangeable frontends and see what the HFWA would look like. I think AC missed the boat on not marketing one. I started with a shelf model 7060, stripped it, and built the frontends out of brass. I tried to copy the front drive motor from the picture in the D21 section of Norm's book but pretty hard to see the detail. It appears to have the drive motor on the bottom and a bull gear type setup but I might be wrong. I scratchbuilt the 3pt and hitch, modified the cab to lengthen the front windows and add the small rear windows, painted the inside black and added cab glass. Lights, hand rails and front weights put the finishing touches on her. Hope you like it. Armand

a few weeks back there was one of the prototype 7000 series with Mud Hog FWA, that AC experimented with on Craigslist, there was a picture on here somewhere, i sure hope one of the forum members bought this. it would be in my shed if it wasn't on the other side of the continent.

Aunt Wayne, I would guess between 40 and 50 hours. I normally don't get more than 3 hours at the bench at a time and don't keep track. Armand

In my recent conversation with Norm Swinford, FWA was originally planned for the 7000 series, but due to the fact that the 220 FWA took so long to sell, they took the project off the table......with the agreement that FWA would be avaliable with the 8000 series, which they were |
