Hey guys,
I put a 190 three point on my D19 and would like to know what was originally used to control sway. It looks like it may have used blocks as sway control? I think I'm just going to fab up some telescopic sway control arms. Thanks, Brad |

They used "sway blocks". They could be removed or added depending on the catagory of 3pt you needed.

They should look like this. The bottom ones are for cat II, the small ones stored above are for Cat I implements.

I am still on the scrounge for a set of Cat 1 blocks. Cat 2 blocks are still dealer and aftermarket available but the bolts are not.

I have a pair, not for sale. As Mike mentioned, they are RARE. I think they were optional.

Ok...I guess if someone on here does have an extra pair they want to sell, I will be the guy that started an all out bidding war. I called probably the only all AC salvage yard here in CA, and was told they have a couple of 190s out in back, but the mechanic was too busy to walk out in the yard and look. I was also told I couldn't come and look for myself. Kind of irritating since it's not too far a drive. I kind of thought these sway blocks would be hard to get ahold of. If so, I'll just make some pretty solid adjustable sway arms. Thanks for all the responses.

Hey Eldon,
Any chance you could post the thickness of the Cat 1 blocks? It seems like a regular hunk of steel cut to roughly the dimensions should work. |

I had set lazer cut from steel chunks by my welding guy. My T+D friend still has them for drilling, been awhile, I better call him.

Doesn't look like it would be a difficult casting, though it would be handy to cast the square bolt head recess. Carve a pair out of wood at little bigger with some shrink built in and find a cast iron foundry.
