Who were manufacturers of the antique pedal-powered sandstone wheel sharpeners a person sat on a seat to operate? I'm trying to identify the one I have and determine what color it was. Any help is appreciated!

don't know what color they were , mine was rust, I had it for a yard ornament in my front yard & somebody thought they needed it more than me. I hope they feel guilty every time they look at it.

I seen a really nice one for sale the other day and it had the remnants of some green paint like the old planter juniors. But don't know if it was original. the one I have was my great great great grandpas and it hasn't had any paint on it for as long as my dad can remember. 70 years
