I don't have the air cleaner connected to my MarvScheb carb on my35 WC because of size and location differences with the original Zenith carb. Am I wasting time trying to fine tune the carb? Will it need to be readjusted once the air cleaner is connected?

I seem to have surging at idle and I am not satisfied with the low idle speed being slow enough. I haven't messed with the timing though it sounds a little off to my untrained ear.

It shouldn't bother it. I ran mine with the hose disconnected on my new carb for a good while. I hooked it up the day before the show I go to and it didn't bother it a bit.

Soon as I say this something bad will happen. LOL!

Hey there Charlie I don't believe there'll be too much difference. BTW happy belated birthday buddy; I was flying to and from Atlanta on your day! Dana

As the guys mentioned, shouldn't make much of a difference at all. As long as its gettin' air, it'll perform fine..
