I just stopped at Colfax Tractor Parts hunting for some lost pieces for my D17 and saw several 175 tractors with the grilles intact. Seems like I've heard that they are usually missing? Two of them were pretty nice, one was bent up but looked repairable if you happen to be good at straightening. Also saw a salvageable RH D17 fender and a decent grille shell. Also saw a complete P/S NF bolster minus the mud shield (sorry, I needed one for mine) for a D17.

Brain, did the 175 have a 248 Perkins?  I'm looking for a good crankcase breather tube that comes off the valve cover.

There were two 175's there both diesel. If you're willing to do some work, the fender could be used.

Thanks, unfortunately I am not a sheetmetal guy, I have to start with straigt stuff, or it will still be bent when I am done with it?!?!?  :)

My 17 series II burnt in a fire, I need everything rear of the engine block above the tranny/torque tube.  The only thing usable is the steering and controls.  I need Tank, fuel guage, tank straps, misc. brackets/bolts, air cleaner, battery tray, top hood center piece, front grill/shell (maybe) steel hydro lines from pump back, at least the right fender possibly both, you get the idea!  :-)

It is on the north side of interstate 80 at Colfax, IA. I80 and hwy 117 to be exact. Colfax is east of Des Moines and west of Newton. Good bunch of folks there. It sometimes seems the prices are plenty high, but I have been getting that feeling everywhere I go these days!

I don't know the street name is actually posted. Go north on 117 from I-80, when it starts to go up hill and there's a paint ball park on the NE corner of the intersection, that's the road to Colfax Tractor Salvage. They are fairly visible from the road though.

Can't miss them from I-80. Just give them a call and ask for Alan. He seems to know just about everything there off the top of his head. Charlie posted the phone #. They're there and open pretty much 7 days a week.

The owner is Benny. He knows every inch of that yard, and where every washer and spacer is located. Dave works at the counter as well, he has been good to work with, too.
I was able to find a lot of pieces for my Two-Twenty at their yard. I was lucky they had one in better condition than what mine was!

Did you happen to see any 160 tractors in the yard? We need some hydraulic system parts along with other bits and pieces and haven't been having much luck finding a good source of parts yet.
