That was posted over on YTmag photo ads a couple of weeks ago by Brandon Wilke...then it disappeared.   I thought maybe it was sold. Isn't that the one that was bought out of Oklahoma last year and later sold on Ebay for around $16k? Seemed to be talk of the auction being rigged at the time.....

rear wheels dont look to be correct, at least from the crappy photos I cant see the welded braces. For that kind of coin, first rate pictures are a must!

yes Eldon I believe that is the same tractor, I believe those are the same EBAY pictures also, Supposedly the owner has purchased the correct rims for it after he bought it.

But I would think that if you really wanted to sell it for that kind of money you would get some better pictures with the original pieces on it.

What should something like that be worth?  Never seen one, but have no idea how rare they are.

there never was any records kept as too how many have been built, Some people say as few as 200. as far as to what they are worth depends on how bad each person wants one. this one is a little more rare because it is an LP.

Yes it is the one that was on ebay and it now has the rims thanks to me. The price is way to high he will never get it if it was not for him and swenson on ebay it would have sold for a lot less but I gess it only takes 2 to bid.I don't think he will ever sell it for even 20,000 I have many wheatlands and I think the best part of one selling on ebay for 18000 is every one thinks there all worth that most sell for 7000-12000 depening on fule type and condition.

If something is rare, that itself doesn't make it extremely valuable, the desire to own said rare item is what drives up the value. Obviously there wasn't much desire for them when new, or there would be more of them. I still appreciate the rare items, but when people try to gouge the price up, it leaves a sour taste to me.

It is still a nice interesting tractor --- but much too high for my budget -- somebody with a better cash flow position might be able to wrangle a deal of sorts.

I wont be asking that much for mine when I can post pictures but the fenders will need body work.
I got new software for livestock records downloaded onto my puter and the fix needs a technician who is a  long ways away.I'll post pictures and offer it for sale when I can get pictures.

I think that Nathan Swenson is from ND, not SD, unless it is a different Nathan Swenson that I am thinking of.

If I remember correctly this tractor was listed as stuck on Ebay and the buyer was able to get it running.  I remember the pictures of it were on a trailer at that time.

I am still keeping track of Wheatland tractors, I have record of four LPs but only five Diesels and a decent amount of gas tractors.  Two of the known machines have been converted from regular tractors.

Bill, do I have yours in the registry?

Ben, I still dont have any of yours listed either yet.  Do you have any numbers to send me?  Owner information is kept confidential.

Jim

Can't remember if I read it here or where but it was said that some of these big car collectors take turns bidding on each other's cars at auctions just to drive up the value. Kinda like if I buy your car for $700,000 you can buy my for $700,000. Also a local car collector here told me the same thing.

Hello,
I understand my name is being mentioned here quite a bit so I would like to clear the air.  I did try to buy that one on ebay but only had a few minutes to decide, cause I found it at the last minute.  I knew it was a tough find and being we already had a gas (which is easier to find), I did go after the D17 LP wheatland. But ended up being a runner up on it.  I hope this clears some of the speculation up as to what happened with Ebay.  I thought it looked like a nice tractor and just bid on it, since it was a rare tractor and might not have an opporunity to buy another one.      With that being said I am looking to buy more wheatlands, especially a diesel, but would pay top $$ for a LP or gas model as well.  Apparently I helped set the bar quite high on the Wheatlands but that's good I think??  They are a harder to find tractor that deserves more attention.
Thanks for hearing me out,
Nathan Swenson
