These guys aren't related. They are Uncles of a guy I used to work with. I think he said this was taken somewhere near Maquoketa Iowa. Since they couldn't afford a manure spreader, they used the stone boat.

Charlie, maybe I should send you a set of cast iron hubs for the front of your tractor when I send you that set of brake handles to cut down....

Glenn, I have the cast hubs, just been put on the back burner for too long. What I need is the wedge bolts and I don't want to spring for new at $17 x 8. I also have a good wheel to replace that 4 loop one but that one still holds air and I have been mowing with the tractor. I might get to work on her this summer since I sold the other place( where I kept the B for mowing) to my daughter and SIL.

Butch, if I had to make em, I think I would see if I could borrow a die head with chasers. That would cut down the lathe time considerably. I might have to set up the mill vise on my South Bend to cut the head.

Steve- show the front view of your B... it's low, like an IB, but doesn't have a big frame goin' round it... I've never seen one like that, so tell me the story!

I noticed on my adjustable arch B that the arch seems slightly sprung, the wheels look a bit splayed. Could that be normal or did someone pull too many wheelies? My 39 has hydraulics but they could have been added later. I've only seen one B without a pto, the one my dad owned in Ohio but was bought in Iowa. That would have to be about as basic as you could get.

My 1954 B purchased from the original owner. It came with cultivator plows and hillers. He also has a homemade grinding wheel on it.
There is also a homemade wood saw for it.
