I bought and old 4 row no til AC planter the other day. I just happen to meet a nieghbor on the road taking it to the scrap iron guy. Anyway he had planted some corn last year with it but he said one of the units didn't work. I plan to get it in the shop this winter and get it all working so I can plant a few acres next year. I think it is a 600 series maybe. It has the "stovepipe" seed hoppers and it takes the plastic seed plates. I can't find a tag anywhere. I need a manual for it if anyone has one.JP

Nice find Jack.   Can't believe he would take it in for scrap if he just used it last year.

I think 600 is the frame model.  I also think there were a few different models made with the metal hoppers on them.  Can you get a picture of it for us?  Or..what kind of openers are on it? how about closing wheels?    -Wes

Is it a mounted 4 row drill planter? I just picked one up a month ago. It has the stove pipe seed bins but are wide at the top. It looks like the one on page 251 in Norm's book.

He just bought it to plant a little corn with but you would have to know him to understand. It has the wide wavey coulters up front and disc openers on the unit and it has the rubber coated press wheels with a big ridge in the middle,to, I guess press the seed down in the furrow. It is a wheel lift type.JP
