I am rebuilding an engine for a WD45D and need all new head bolts. Went to local AGCO dealer only to be told they are obsolete. So, my question is where can I find new head bolts for a D230 or D262 Allis engines? Would a fastner house have them? I don't really like dealing with Fastenal, but if they have them or can get them, I guess that's what I'll have to do. Thanks, Jason |

A friend got ARP head bolts for his D-19 diesel. Took three trys to get the right ones but hopefully that will go a long way to solve the head gasket problems.

ARP has the correct studs on the shelf, but you must be specific as to stud length and thread size and length. Be sure to get the hardened washers and nuts too.

Most problems can be solved with the proper application of high explosives.

I called ARP and they said should be no problem if given the dimensions. They can do either bolts or studs and nuts. At this time, they don't have a package together, but were planning to do one in the future.
