Looking for some opinions before making a purchase.

Wondering what to expect if we change tires on our superfarm D21. Been running old cut and a halfs in road gear with 220 ring n pinion. Lots of power and havent been bringing the rpm's down much since upgrading turbo this season. 1/2 the competition has recently upgraded to new puller 2000's.

Questions:
Is it in our best interest to jump all the way up to puller 2000's?

What kind of tractor adjustments should I expect to have to make when I get them, such as gearing, weight distribution etc.?

Thanks!

Well 1 st thing is there gonna weight alot more than what you have now.  And they will probaly hook over twice as hard.  If I were you I would maybe look for an older set of double cuts they will hook alot better than your useing now and not quite as heavy as the 2000s. Just my opinion. the guy who bought my old d-21 put the puller 2000s on and didnt have a low enuf gear for them and ended up wrecked a motor.

Thanks for the input.

We do have 2 half-gears to choose from below direct.  We run on only a couple hard-biting clay tracks and the rest are more of a sandy mix with even a few on sand horse tracks.  Weight isnt ultimately the issue, but we do enjoy having more movable weight than most others although we have most of it located in a prime spot and dont move it around.

If we go with the old style, do we need to widen our rims out?  currently have steel 24" wide.  We heard that the new 2000's required a narrower rim.

Most old style pullers were mounted on 26-28" wide rims and the new ones I hear are recommended for a narrower rim because they already lay flat.  Yes, we do do business with Mark.

I would ask mark on the rim width im not familiar with the 24s,  I do beleve the new 2000 24s are heavier then the 30s.
