I have repainted my hood and before I put it on, I am considering replacing the air filter housing. The current housing has a band that holds the rear of the filter housing on.

Would going to a plastic housing with buckles be better worth time?

Or is it an option to rivet on a few buckles to hold it better. Current air filter housing has been run over but serviceable.

On an Allis 715 hoe.
