America was coldly attacked by what at the time seemed not to be an enemy, how quickly we as a nation seem to forget, we for sure haven’t learned from our mistakes. God and America continue to bless those who died that December morning, simply going about their day, and all those who have been called to do the same since that awful tragedy.

God Bless all who served and made the ultimate sacrifice to keep the US free. I grew up knowing a man who spent all day Dec.7 floating in Pearl Harbor hoping to live. My Dad used to say the poor fellow was never the same after that, although he spent his whole working life in the Navy. Bob

Prayer in church today for Pearl Harbor Remembrance. Kind of surprised, the Evangelical Lutheran Church seldom makes mention of some secular events. Surprised and thankful that we remembered.

There are something like 16 survivors of the Peral Harbor attack still alive today. But none of them are able to travel and go to the reunion this year in the report I heard.

Thank you Joe, for the reminder. I saw your post this morning, and thought “Oh, yeah! Pearl Harbor Day”…. then checked the calendar on my iphone to verify….Apple phone calendar app doesn’t recognize Pearl Harbor Day, as there’s nothing denoting the date 12/07 as anything other than an ordinary day. How sad, the way they’re trying to erase American history. (It seems like they recognize every other day of “importance”, most of which I’ve never heard of, or would celebrate) ….God bless all the men and women who have served, or continue to serve this country and defend our freedom. We would not be here without them!
