The warning flasher stopped working last year. It also affected the turn signals. Essentially, the turn signal lights will come on but they do not flash. Oddly, the left hand switch causes the right hand signal to stay on and vice versa. I am guessing that the flash module is bad. Nothing else would cause those to reverse like that? However, the power for the flasher comes from the light switch, I believe. I tried to test the output of the terminals as suggested in the Repair Manual and my tests don't pan out. I have 12 Volts going to the light switch but after that I get 10.6 volts. I don't have any blinking working at the terminals either. I am very sure the lights are fine since they turn on although at the wrong time. I also don't think this is a ground wire issue because they work. I wonder if the light switch and the flasher has gone bad. I will probably go ahead and replace the flasher and see what happens. Anyone have any experience with the rewiring of the #6 post terminal for the flasher? Any help is appreciated. I saw on an older post that the wiring changed depending upon serial number and what type of flasher is being used. It appears that someone already did that rewiring on my flasher but my serial number is after 1441 when the change occurred although not by much (#1450). You can see the twist on knobs which indicates a change, I think. My wiring colors are different from the manual too. ![]() |

Flashers are cheap enough to try a new but but since they blink opposite than intended I still think there is ground problem. I saw this when reworking taillight mounts on trucks back in the day

I hate chasing ground wire problems. If that ends up being true, then I will have to remove the roof to get access to all of the ground wires. I have had the cab roof off before and each light terminates the ground wire on the cab so it will be a big job to figure that out. I ordered the flasher from Steiner. About half the price of Agco. We will see. Going to be a couple more days before it shows up.
