Stopped at the Central Iowa Farm Store to talk to Reed about some parts I had him chasing. AGCO pulled the plug completely. Knew it was coming but had forgotten about it. They can still help with somethings but will be more difficult now.
Not sure where the next closest dealer is for me now, Ziegler's in Altoona maybe? McKimm's on Osky? CIFS is so handy for me as I drive right by there 5 days a week, well, for now anyway.

Reed is a great source of information for getting Allis parts. Talked to him last week about getting some parts.
I don't think Ziegler's will be much help unless you have a valid part number. No Allis experience there. I do get some Agco parts there. McKimm's should be a good source. I miss Cross and Sons in Kilduff. Steve

Yup times are a changing- Allis has been gone a long time, sad, but the internet is very helpful and you find almost anything you need;AGCO parts online is awesome! Nice AGCO is still supporting alot of parts! Had a past Allis/AGCO dealer tell me back 20 years ago it cost them $1500 a month just to keep the parts/ computer going- that was 20 years ago!

Robinson Implement in Irwin Iowa is the best I’ve found, I do a lot of business with them and it surprises me how they have a lot of parts for the Allis’s on hand.
I do order parts through Ziegler in Atlantic Iowa for my Cat road grader and excavator but I have to give them part numbers( they should give me a discount for doing the parts guys job ). Good luck!! |

Talking with the neighbor yesterday. They have 2 cat challenger tractors. Ziegler's left Wisconsin, so now they told him if he needs service, they have to get someone from out of state, Iowa Minnesota or Illinois and it would be $900 just for a trip charge. The remaining agco dealers in the state don't do Cat and the industrial guys don't want the ag tractors. Their tractors are about 15 years old and they are now left with poor dealer support.

guys, talk about really stinks, I hit a darn stinky ol skunk headed to Creston to get supply's yesterday. Something must have driven it out of its den. It takes quite a few quarters at the car wash to get rid of the darn smell. I am not kidding drive by and you can sniff the front wheel.
