No, you have to match the drive sprocket, and the bar tip sprocket with the chain ‘eyes’ or ‘hooks’ on the underside of the chain. Not all chains are the same.

Thanks guys. I have a echo saw. Been using a Oregon bar and chain that came together. So far so good. Maybe I just got lucky. Taking 3 chains for sharpening today. I'll look the chains over close. Thanks again!!

you can use any Manufacturer chain and bar , as long as they are made FOR the eCHO saw..... as long as it says " for ECHO XXX" it dont matter who made it.. THey all make different pitch / size/ gauge for various applications.
