If your CA is still 6v, you'll have to power it off a 12v battery. I power mine with a little 12v battery out of an emergency light, you could pull your lawnmower close or such also. They take very little to fire the lamp, so most any 12v will do

I just bought a cheap self powered one (2 d cells).  Xenon strobe should be bright enough.
