What car tires and size will fit the front of my B? The tri ribs are tearing up the yard when I turn.

I can check later on today. Have 5 spoke white 'wagon wheels' on my CA. They are a trailer type tire. Much easier on the turf than the tri-ribs were.

the rims are 5 bolt on 4.5 inch circle...(Mustang / Taurus/ Explorer).. shown in the RED BOX below... I had one tractor that come with spare DONUT tires on it.. They might have been  165 mm wide ? Factory tires are 4.5 or 5 inch wide which would be  125 mm .... LOT SMALLER than the cars that use 195 or 205 mm tires ( 7-8 inch).

My narrow front Model C has 5-rib implement tires and they are pretty smooth, in fact, I have to use the brakes to turn on grass if it is damp.

Well, got busy and didn't check the size of those tires yesterday, today not looking good either! I bought the ones on mine at a farm sale. Got two new wheels/tires, hubs, and a bunch of other stuff to build a small trailer. So far, wheels/tires are all I have used! Always more important things to do than build a trailer. I've got a rough idea for it, involves 4 WD frame rails for the bed/frame.

Related, kind of. Was at a buddy's place Sunday, he has a bunch of 4" channel iron laying on a pallet. I inquired, yes he would sell me some reasonable. I mention this because years ago we discussed WD farm cranes on here. TedJ sent me all the plans he had for them. Haven't made a lot of headway on that front but it's still in my mind. Having the material would help a bunch!

My grandfather had Hudson rims on mine while it was on the farm. When I bought it back from the guy that bought the farm it had a 14" on one side, a 15" on the other. I opened up the center of 15" rims off a 72 Ford LTD and bolted them on

Keep forgetting to post this. The ones on my CA are; 175-80D 13's. Just trailer tires/wheels sold at most farm stores. Great for mowing, tri-ribs really cut up the turf! Have some 'doughnut' spares around here I picked up off a curb, not sure what will ever happen with them.

I've used 165 x 15R radial VW Beetle sized tires with the regular 4.00-15/5.00-15 tractor sized tubes in my original rims on my wide front C for over 20 years. They work great! Dad had the same type of tires on his B at one time only his were 5.60-15 bias ply VW tires. His were even wide white walls! Kip

20 years ago i bought a set of D15 rims with 6 x 16 inch 5 rib tires.. at an auction for CHEAP. ..... i cut a 7 inch circle out of the center and welded in a new plate that fit a B..... YES... a B looks real nice with a bigger set of tires on the front.
Like them all, but love the "B"s.

I've been shopping around for rear turf tires for my B. Man, these tire outfits aren't bashful with their prices on tires. Looking at 9.5x24's turfs. Wow wee! I use the B with the loader around the property so I wanted the turf tires so it doesn't tear up the lawn. I'm seeing that the bar tires are a little cheaper. Not much cheaper though......!  Looks like I'm gonna havta' bite the bullet like everyone else......  Cry
