We just bought an Allis IB.... Planning to refresh it. I love the orange but by wife likes yellow. Currently it's rust, so either one is better than it is now! How many were painted yellow? And how many IB were built? Tractor data says 2850,others say more.

Becuse this is an industrial model some were even special ordered in colors other than orange or yellow. Most restored IBs get get painted orange, so I say if you want to have something a bit different when you show it, go with yellow.

in the early 1940s the IB was built on the same line as the B and had a B serial number.. Maybe 1000 were built ?? That is arguable.... AFter the war, the IB got is own serial number starting with "IB" and yes, around 2850 of them were built then.

Like them all, but love the "B"s.
