I've been told so many different things about the distributor/ magneto. I want to replace the mag with a distributor, what will work?

I believe it would.
I would go to an Allis Chalmers Dealer to get it, then you would get one that would fit. |

Yes, it will work, but you will need the correct drive and housing along with the distributor itself. I sent you a PM

when you remove the MAG, you notice that it is not a gear drive.. It has TWO TANGS that drive the shaft... That is what you are looking for.. Something off a B, C, CA will all work... looks like this on e-bay.

Steve above has listed ONE way to do it, you also can do it with another setup. Steve has listed the magneto conversion style, there also a factory setup with an extended drive gear setup that was used on CA's and a similar setup on d14/d15
