The steps going up to the cab, or is there a step in the cab thats the issue?  I think I'd modify the steps going in before I went that far backwards in cab.

Shameless, you need three steps to make it easier. The 7000 series steps won't help any. I've tried a few versions. This one has been my favourite.

Make you some steps that will fit your condition, or have some one make them to your specifications.                      MACK
