Pulled the valve cover today to check the head torque again . Probably have about 20 hours on the engine since I installed the rebuilt head . Been seeing some moisture in the oil breather cap , but was kinda surprised to find a good bit clinging to the inside of the valve cover . I'm hoping this is normal after coolant in the oil ? Gonna clean it up again and change the oil . Should say this is a Series 1 gas (149) tractor . Fav son should post a couple pics soon . THANKS

Too late for a taste test , I've already cleaned it up . Rad was a little low . Plan to see if I can find a leak . Back in August with the rebuilt head on , it held 10 psi all night and when I first remove the cap now I hear a little bit of pressure bleeding off . Just thought there was still some coolant in the engine that was working it's way out ? THANKS !

High humidity and not warming up the tractor for 30 minutes will cause similar results..
Wife has a 8 HP lawn mower that she uses as a scooter to move around the neighborhood.. Tractor runs 3-4 minutes max, then shut off.. Couple times a day.. Oil looks just like that after 2 months......... and this is NO RADIATOR.

Thanks for the comments. Plan to catch some oil out of the bottom of the pan in a clear jar when I change the oil. Should be able to see if there's any coolant in it? Then I'll go from there. Thanks again

Just pulled the oil plug and caught some oil that was in the bottom . Don't see any trace of water/coolant . It was very obvious back last summer . I'll check it again in the morning . Thanks

The tractor I use daily will run water out the breather cap and have the thick crap in the cap and pipe, and that is all moisture because it gets started and ran long enough to accumulate condensation up there. Hate to think what the underside of valve cover looks like.

Yeah JC , I didn't think about condensation . My D 15 has been outside at the "farm" several months . Guess that's why DR Allis said to taste it ? Happy to say I see no coolant/water in the jar this morn . THANKS
