A couple years ago I read a post about the specs on it but I can't find it anymore and I would like to get a replacement for mine...(even if someone has an original 80t, they can measure the length and where it goes for me then I can make my own?)
Thanks Matt

The rod is 54" from the center of the hook to the center of the eye on the bar end.  5/8 diameter.

Ok, so that's the transport position and when you are ready to mow you then obviously have to remove the whole thing including eyebolt from sickle bar and store it somewhere correct?

Mounts under the frame.  Haven't tried yet with mine as just use it around the acreage and homestead association common drive.

Photo from a manual I purchased, rod mounted in the middle of the photo.  Extra tab welded at an angle on the sickle side of the axle for the eyelet to bolt through.

Close the loop and add some chain, or cut in the middle, and weld in enough straight rod to make up the difference...Wink

I'm not sure, it's 36 and the post above it said and shows it being 54 in. I'll have to raise my sickle up and measure

Both 80T mowers I have are 7' bars with the 54" support.  I do have another support bar measuring 43" hook to eyelet - think it came with some spare parts and may be for a 6' bar (?).  The 43" looks similar to the 35" support bar posted.

Found another support bar which came with the second mower which looks different compared to the others.  Only 1/2" bar and 51" hook to eye.  It has a repaired spot as the stop ear on the gear box was clocked in the wrong position and all the stress and weight of the bar kept flexing it until breaking.
