well, we had a little family get together today. Granddaughter's 10th birthday, and DIL' birthday. I was also informed that it was for Father's Day, and a retirement party. We had a great time, and this evening I was presented a Henry 45-70! The whole family got together and got it for me! darn near brought me to tears!

That’s awesome! Lou and a American made Henry to boot. You must be some kind of a good dad.  By the way a 45-70 is the best squirrel gun ever made. That way you’re not tempted to cook it up after you shoot it.

That's the most awesome gift ya could ask for. That's a present that my wife would really appreciate. She's also of the nature, that she absolutely loved the Minnie mo tractor that I bought her last month for her birthday/mother's day present. Forget diamond and jewelry with her! Lol.

Thanks guys! a few suggested it would make a good squirrel gun, it certainly be effective as long as it hit it! actually, with the right loads, this is a great brush gun for white tails

Dont be surprised if you find out you need a hired man for those "little" retirement jobs that seem to show up. Sure glad I had a good grandson living here for those jobs. Congrats on taking the step.
