Just drug home a 6080/w cab, #2021, and has the external thrust bearing. Overall it seems to be a pretty solid unit, no real mechanical issues known. However the cab is pretty rough, and i plan on this being a hay tractor so a nice interior is a must. Most of the upholstery is gone but seems to be easy enough to replace. The challenge is going to be the glass and a/c compressor. This has a Koyker loader thats pretty tight to the side panel, and at some point the compressor was removed. My fear is with the loader on it might've been pretty close to the loader frame and caused issues. I put a Sanden kit on my 8050 which was quite a bit smaller than the original compressor, would this tractor be the same?
Also the top glass in the door was busted out and the windshield was cracked from a tree branch. Is the glass available for these through Agco or aftermarket, or am i going to have to track it down through a salvage yard or possibly have it cut by a local glass place? ![]() |

Fehr makes a good cab kit. Regarding the glass, an autoglass shop can make it and install for you. The glass gets glued in - no rubber seals, so your hopes of getting one out in one piece from a wrecking yard are slim. Can't help you with the AC compressor, I do not have a loader on mine, but it doesn't look like it sticks out very much. Maybe an inch and a half from the shield?

Will a glass shop be able to make a new windshield? I can see the door glass being easy since its flat, but the windshield has a slight curve to it.
As for clearance for the compressor, theres about 2.75" from the side panel to the loader arm, and 3" from the edge of the compressor bracket to the loader arm. |

your windshield should be flat, use safety glass from a glass shop. the sanden compressor coversion hy-cap sells is excellent and a big improvement over stock. You will need to blow out your evaporator and condensor and evacuate the whole system and replace the orings with new ones, and check for any bad hoses, and a new receiver dryer.
