I saved this old WD45 and UC, and 5 slat bottom plow. A friend of mine called me, he had a neighbor who bought a farm. They were cleaning out the fence lines, and they found these 2 old AC's. So they went from his fence row to mine. The guy that hauls gravel by here, called me about the plow. He was going to haul in it for junk, but saw a lot of my AC stuff sitting against the road. ( I use it for bait). LOL

They both seem to be in good shape to have just been found. Good lord knows how long they've sat there. I do have to give the old tractors something and that is that they are built to last and can. Besides both of them needing wheels and tries It looks like it wouldn't take much time to get them running. That is if the motor isn't stuck. Those wide front WD45's and the UC in general are getting hard to find. I wish people would give me AC stuff!! LOLEdited by AllisChalmers37 - 16 Sep 2010 at 3:48pm |

Does that kind of fishing require a license? Anyway, nice score. I'm jealous.

Why is there never time to do it right the first time, but always time to go back and fix it?

Lots of good parts there if they had terminal internal problems. I agree, excellent save/find.

Nice find! Are either of them stuck? They appear to be in great shape.
I would love to find an old John Deere H like that... please don't shoot me! Dad is wanting an H and since he basically funded my D14, I'm willing to cross over to the green side enough to help him find one :-).

Now I just don't buy your story for a minute. That stuff is way way too nice for the scrap yard. Usually when I hear about things like that they truly are rusted almost back to earth. But that stuff is nicer than alot of stuff out there for sale.

Thanks guys, for the words of encouragement. Sometimes I don't know why I buy this stuff, other than I can't stand to see it getting crushed. I bought the stuff sight unseen. I told the gentleman with the tractors,a wide front end is worth around $500. I told him the UC is worth anywhere from $500-$3500 depending how good of shape it is. He told me since he knew they were going to a good home, if I gave him $1000 for the pair he would be happy. The guy with the plow, said he was going to load in his dump truck and take it to Alters. He told me he thougt it would bring $150 for junk. I gave him $200, just to be fair. As far as the old Chevy on the hill, it runs, its a 58 Napco 4 wheel drive. Another project. I hope I live to be 1000. |

I guess I need bigger bait...the only thing someone has asked if I'm intrested in that they were getting rid of were some AC garden tractors. I have the 3 B's sitting in the driveway...I guess I need bigger bait to bait the bigger equipment!!! Which means a bigger tractor in the driveway...right???!!!! LOL
