My dad has a lot of old tractor pulling pictures from back in the mid 70's and you wouldnt believe how many D21's were sporting narrow fronts. Also several 180's and 190's with narrow and single fronts. The dealership he worked at sponsored a guy that pulled a 210 which also had a narrow front. My dad got to haul that tractor around for him with the dealers truck for a few years and helped with it and even painted it a couple times. I would have liked to have grown up with tractor pulling back then because now all it is its a high dollar drag race and component tractors in NTPA anyway. Still fun to see a D21 on a pulling track. Used to be a lot of them.

Let me qualify this by saying that I’ve never seen a D21 in person, but that thing looks really small. Unless that guy is 7 feet tall, the tractor under that sheet metal is tiny for the amount of horsepower the D21 was supposed to have.

Interesting last comment, the D21 is a short tractor in my opinion, smaller rubber probably did set it lower, but you really need to stand next to one at idle to feel the experience, of a D21

Austin is 6ft 4. It weighs about 7700 with driver. This is 8500# class, put 40ft on the next guy back. Non turbo class. It is a 1963
