I am in the process of putting an engine out of an E gleaner in my WD45. Ran into a snag. The crank nose is different than the 45. Can I use the 45 crank pulley on the E engine of do I have to do something different? I have the governor switched and the water pump changed. All I have left is the crank pulley.

You can use the 45 pulley but will need to take the pulley to a lathe and cut the hole to the same size all the way through the pulley. Have done it many times.

The pulley fits on the crank but it appears to sit out a little farther than it did on the 45 engine and what do I need to cut out because like I said it already fits on the crank?

If you look at the hole in the pulley it is not the same size all the way through. The crank shaft is bottoming out where the the size of the hole is reduced. The hole needs to be the same all the way through the pulley, so it will slide all the way onto the crank.

My pulley slid on all the way. I noticed the bore was tappered but it slid on with no problems. Actually fits pretty nice.
