So the 1940 B we are working on has hydraulics but pictures of rock shafts and I am assuming snap coupler parts especially the bell are really tough to find. Anybody have pictures of any of these components and how they mount would be appreciated.

The rock shaft is basically something like a 1.5 inch diameter BAR that runs across the back of the seat... Bushing at each end to hold it up.... There are 2-3 short BRACKETS welded to the shaft... the cylinder attaching bracket bolts ot one of the BRACKETS... you can have a couple different type brackets that attach to the other SHORT BRACKETS on the rock shaft... you dont need a bail... you can use a pin hitch on a cross shaft under the transmission area.

here is a rear view of the rock shaft showing the small BRACKETS welded to the shaft.. and the plow BRACKETS bolted to them.... other photo shows the pin attachment under the transmission area... brackets come off the final drive cases and go forward several inches.

Thanks for the response, there is a small cultivator on craigslist here but I was not sure how to hook it up but I think we can make it work, it says it's from an Allis and fairly small so I am thinking B can pull it. We have to do some scarification in the woods to break up the grass after spraying so the acorns can reseed. Part of our forest management plan.

does it have a PIN in the front, or a hook for a bail ?..... either way you can MODIFY a bracket to get it to attach underneith... Dont sound like you need to stick with "factory look".

you can do anything with a little cutting and welding... Here is an old single PLOW i used the beam and mounted an old blade to it.. dont know where the blade came from, i cut it to 6 ft wide to fit the tractor..
