Hello everyone. Please bear with me. My manual is still in the mail & I'm getting impatient, do I'll ask it here! What's a readily-available hydraulic/transmission fluid to use please? Will "303 Tractor Fluid" from TSC/Orscheln work? Also. What's the engine oil weight/capacity please? Thank you everyone.

Personal opions abound, I have used tsc premium hydraulic, it indicates its ac compliant. Have not heard too many good things about 303. Take it for what it worth. Engine oil, 15-40, either shell rotella or mobil delvac. Agin cost and availabilty factor in where you are located.12 qrts with filter change.

Need an oil that meets AC/Agco 821 spec oil. 303 does not meet 821 spec.

You can buy several different brands of Universal Tractor FLuid at Wal Mart, Farm Store, NAPA or other....They will have a LIST of SPECS that are met on the back of the label.. Such as ALLIS 821, CASE HYTRANS , CAT C02, C3... etc.... THe GOOD STUFF will meet 20 different specs.. If it is really " generic" it might have few if any SPECS.
Like them all, but love the "B"s.

Not to insight an argument, but, there seems to to conflicting opinions. I guess maybe I should ask: What's the best universal tractor hydraulic fluid that meets the specs for Allis 190xt?

Thats like asking  "What is the best auto engine oil"..... There are several manufacturers.. as long as it MEETS THE SPEC it should be good..... Brand name is not important... You can buy CASE HYTRANS from the dealer... or get a "GENERIC" that meets the spec for half price..
Like them all, but love the "B"s.

Manufacturers are SHELL, MOBIL, TEXACO, CITGO ......... and smaller like WARREN OIL..

Warren makes a LOT OF Hydrualic oil and  cans it for DOZENS of  AFTERMARKET sellers.... Napa, Farm Store, Wal Mart.... NONE of them  process oil... they buy from SOMOENE.
Like them all, but love the "B"s.

I only wanted to state the quantities in my earlier post, not type of oil in finals. Yes. Sorry about any confusion.

Thanks Steve, I have a couple of smaller Allis(B and WD) but recently bought a 65 190XT and looked here for information on oil change.  It’s a great running machine but needs an oil change!

303 is straight hydraulic oil and does not have the additives for the wet clutch.
