Sometimes we get ideas on how to make things just a little better. I know it has been discussed about how to secure 100 series grills. I have 1/4 bolts holding mine after a close call with one and the loader getting one. What if they had put hooks behind the grill and then just used the latches so the latches didn't have to do all the work. Then today I was thinking on a 190 with a cab and floor mat when you want to check hydraulic oil bolting that cover on is kind of a pain maybe it would be easier to put studs in then put the cover on with nuts.

The rear cover for the hydraulic fill should have thumb screws. Just loosen and slide the cover. The holes are key holed. No need to remove the screws.
I bolted a lift off hinge to one side of my grill. Before that I had to tie the latches to keep them closed.

I made a tip forward grille guard for a friend of mine to use on his 190 with a loader, made it easy to get at the air filter, and protect the grille. He sold the tractor, but I got the grille guard back.

My brother ran a small chain from a ring like a key ring clipped on the grill screen and then somehow bolted the chain to one of the hood bolts behind the grill. The chain is long enough to let the grill hang out of the way to get at the air filter but not so long as to hit the ground. I put a long piece of light fence wire through the grill on my 190 and wired it to a bolt hole or hydraulic line or something behind the grill. But between my brother, myself and our dad we have never had a grill fall off, knock on wood. I've always kept the latches adjusted good and tight.

A couple studs for that cover over the oil dipsticks sounds good..... I wouldn't put any kind of nuts on. I'd try just setting the cover on and that's it....... hmmmm might try that on the 200 cause it's a pain with the floor mat.
