Looks like they added part of a case hood. Did they add the dash too?

Hi English built D 270 was a restyled B built at A -C new Essendine plant in September 1954 engine speed was increased to 1650 rpm you could option a P3/143 Perkins diesel

Agree with Kiwi, have two of them, both imported from NZ.  These were original with 12v
