I need help fixing the steering . The machine won’t move the shaft is turning but I can’t get the steering clutch to engage

Then It needs new linings in the outer steering cones. We reline them with a better material. Normally have a spare set of them on shelf but sold them and guys cores weren't any good. So we would have to redo yours. We also have all other parts it may need. New springs brgs, bushings etc. Cost to reline old ones is $225.00 plus return shipping. you can call if you need help or have questions. 740-754-6248

That looks similar to the cone clutch on 700 series garden tractor. Do you relign them also?

No we haven't done any of them as new ones are available. I don't think the lining in L&G is as thick as TT cones. Their 3/16'' thick. Would need to know original lining material thickness and we would need male half to press against new lining when bonding it. Whats diameter of it. We don't have any L&G tractors with that style clutch to look at.
