In the search of looking for a flex 324, ive found a rigid with the type pickup reel that i want. Would pulling the solid floor and putting the flex arms and feather sheets be all thats needed? I have all the arms and rods off a parts head for header height.

They should all be reasonably priced , buy both... for the reel - and anything is do-able but this is about on the do not attempt catagory....

Why ??
You can get a decent field ready 500 series in the mid $3000 range. Better head and not all bastardized. |

I'd like a 324 to match my R7. Goal is to get all the large heads that were produced for it at the time. The 12 row is going to be the hard to find one, green stipe with the pre gearbox units.
When i go to a newer head it'll be a 8200 or dynaflex on R6 series or s7,8 series. Short beans are the kicker on a 300 series, but if you do what Dr. Allis, tbran, and a few others say to do then the heads work just fine for my needs at this point in time. |
