What would cause the valve to leak out the back assembly when lift is raised? Are parts available to rebuild a valve assembly? Thanks Tracy Martin

Tracy, I know you are pretty good mechanic on the AC tractors, but have you checked to see if it is just loose? Sometimes the simple things get overlooked.  Also, check your messages.

Joe, There are leaks that are loose. This one seems internal to leak out the little weep hole in end of plunger assembly.A couple of lines have seen better days. Thought someone may have already been down this road. Thanks Tracy Martin

Tracy - I think there is a small hole in the back of that assembly to avoid vacuum or pressure.  O rings will leak and move oil out that hole. Short answer - O ring replacement. Be careful and clean - springs and small balls will shoot out if you just pull the assembly. Now I put a shop rag over it when pulling out of casting after learning that lesson.
I used to be young and stupid, now I am not young anymore.

Mine had that same leak and replacing the o-rings internally fixed it.

Tracy, I remember Jim telling me about the springs and balls flying everywhere too. The book shows them in the cut-away.
