Going to look at a parts G today that has a weight on it. What to look for as to whether it’s an original weight or reproduction? Thanks

I've heard that some reproduction weights are made of aluminum, for looks only not weight.

It should have a cast number of "GP 1002" on the bottom side near the front point of the weight.
Thanks & God Bless

Thanks, fellers! Dennis, when you say bottom side, is it visible when mounted? Weight is mounted on the tractor already

The weight would need to be removed to see the cast number. Shouldn't be a big deal as it's only one bolt which holds it on.
Thanks & God Bless
