So, I have been modernizing my 7010 cab and I pulled the radio out of the cab. I am not convinced that this radio is original equipment because it was in the wrong slot in the cab. The 7010 has a radio slot and a tape deck slot. This radio was in the tape deck slot. However, it is FM and AM. When I turned it on, it was definitely FM. It also isn't a true stereo in that the only 2 speaker output wires are spliced to get the second channel. The other issue is there is no way to know if your antenna connection will fit this slot in the radio. I can see the standard antenna on my 7010 is different than modern antenna slots. Here is what you should do regardless if you want mine or not. Measure your opening from center to center of the knobs, measure the box size to insure a new one will fit, measure the antenna hole and post those measurements.
You can buy vintage radios for old cars that may fit, but they are in the $200-$300 range. You will have bluetooth and all the modern features if you go this route. Antenna may still have to be replaced. If you are electrically inclined, you can buy a circuit board for about $15 and hook it up. If you go this route, you might as well replace the speakers because AM only radio would not have nice speakers.
I actually went with a Pyle 2 channel marine bluetooth amplifier with no radio receiver because my son primarily listens to his phone and the phone has fm radio too, and no need for an antenna. This allowed me to avoid the fit issues. Hope to finish this by the weekend.
Like every upgrade, things get out of hand if you do them right.
I would sell my am/fm radio for $20 plus $5 shipping.
