Best cordless impact?

I'm in the market for a cordless impact and was wanting opinion on them? I'm leaving toward a dewalt but mostly bc that what I'm use to, is there another brand I should be looking at? Thanks Wil

Yes a 1/2 drive is what I'm after.

It's not mine but I've used a Snap-On and I wouldn't buy anything else.  Lug nuts are nothing to that tool.  In fact, it will handle about anything you want to use it on.

I have a Craftsman that is as good or better than a air IR . So I don't know how much the brand of wrench matters. More a case of what the battery is capable of.Because the battery is the limiting factor in how much I get out of my impact.

Milwaukee

Milwaukee hands down if your doing tough jobs. I have a snap on right now and my dads Milwaukee makes it look silly. Im slowly transitioning to all Milwaukee tools now.

I've got an 18V Dewalt 1/2 drive that has done an excellent job. A few months back I bought an Earthquake brand from HF, 18V 1/2 drive that is supposed to have 1200 ft. lbs. of torque but I have not had occasion to put it to a real test yet. If it works as advertised it should handle anything I need to do.

  I have a Porter Cable that  I have not found a nut or bolt that it will not loosen or twist off.

I just look up the hf one that compare with the snap-on. It's 239 that almost the same price as the Milwaukee

the dude that bought the engine outta my 7080 had a 20V Dewalt 1/2 inch battery impact, he dismantled that 7080 with it on 2 batteries. I was impressed! that even included the frame rails.

I’ve got to put in another vote for Milwaukee. I’ve had one for probably 10 years and I cannot kill it. Still more powerful than my dad’s new DeWalt. I could not believe what I was paying when I bought it but it it has proved to be a good purchase.

I like my Milwaukee too, but when the batteries go,,,,,,,,you might just as well go buy a new set of tools.  The price is just about the same.....

Will Milwaukee or DeWalt do that??  I'm talking money here guys, LOTS of money.
I've only had mine set for a little over a year now, but I am VERY happy with them and they are FASTER than the Milwaukee that just sits now.  The only thing that I use all the time from my Milwaukee set is the grease gun.

I'm not a contractor, but darn near.  I built my pole barn and keep building stuff all the time.  I haven't had a bolt stop my Rigid yet.  Just broke off a 5/8" bolt that was rusted in.....
