Can You elaborate on what You're asking? Sounds like a standard Allis ball hitch that came on multiple implements, my rake has one too. On my 72 combine, I pulled the 2 bolts out that held the hitch piece and put on a standard type trailer hitch from a hardware store.

I went to a farm sale and found an original for $10. As the previous poster said just remove the 2 bolts and reattach. Good Luck!

Part number is 519448 assembly according to all crop harvester parts for model 72.
I have the trailer hitch and ball on it now cause I tow it ho home 12 miles behind a f150. The ball hitch and socket , ii remove it cause it didn't trust it. I wanted to reinstall it after I refurbish it . But not now I can't find it . The combine is on the hitch of a farmall 560 . It is not level and the combine tilts up from the hitch back. And the Pto shaft is all the way forward. I don't like this set up . Ya I would like to get a good one , ot improve the hi hitch and improve Pto for turns |

They were called a ball and socket hitch. I had 2 but can only find 1. I have no use for it. If I can find it it will be for sale.
