It isn't hard to figure out that Rural KING has some people who think like us deciding what they sell as opposed to Tractor Supply who must have hired the people that destroyed Sears.

I wish we had a Rural King within 50 miles. I get flyers all the time and would really like to do a little shopping there. Farm King, Farm and Fleet and Tractor Supply don't have little 9mm pistols for sale EVER. Rural King seems to have a few decent models of noise makers.
If I drive all the way to one and fill out the papers, I have to go back in 10 days or whatever, to pick up my purchase. I just LOVE Illinois, NOT. |

Gotta get your popcorn first thing. They got some real dressy camo thongs for the girls so don't forget to get her size before you go. I haven't been in the one here for a couple months, so I guess the novelty just wears off!

I did wonder over to the firearms counter….very nice young (real young)lady behind the counter and I had a pleasant conversation, long enough so that I was able to figure out she is a strong conservative......somebody raised her right. Oh, and they had a fair selection of long guns and hand guns on hand |

If you have access, I think the only place (price wise) to buy guns is an Army or Air Force exchange that has a guns and ammo dept. All kinds of accessories on the shelf there also.
Speaking of little guys, mine of choice is the 380. Now we are talking small frame. I have a couple of the Smith Bodyguards. you can get a little plastic extender for the bottom of the mag which allows you to get one more pinky on the grip. Only reason i have two is that when me and the wife went to the range, I had her try out the Bodyguard. She remarked that she was gonna keep that one and I could have her Sig 9. So I just had to get me another one of those babies. |

We have a Rural King 100 miles from me but I have never been inside. But I did try ordering a Hay Tester from them and that was a nightmare after 4 calls I gave up and ordered it from Best Harvest. I don't recommend ordering by phone or website. Ordering through the local store may be ok

My daughter lived in Owensboro, Ky for a few years and I walked into their Rural King thinking it was just a farm store. I thought I had died and went to heaven. The only one I `ve ever been in.

Lou, you peaked my interest in Rural King. We don't have one anywhere close but I plan to be in Chattanooga, Tn later this week and they have one in Sweetwater which is about an hour away. Might just have to ride up there and check them out if I get time. I will have adult supervision so I shouldn't get in much trouble.

I went to Rural King Saturday and bought more Baler Net Wrap. Took my friend along who said "I just love this place" ! "If they sold meat you could get everything here" ! And of course we looked at Firearms ! Long guns we can buy but Pistols would be too expensive as they have to be sent to a Michigan FFL Dealer as out of state purchases are illegal.

Went to the Rural King in Sweetwater, TN last week. They have got the stuff! You could have put 4 TSC's in this one.

We have one here in town, about 10 miles from home. It is nice, but it does sorta wear off after a while. Their actual farm section is lacking a little, but is still pretty nice. We have a TSC about 4 miles from home, and we've quit going there and just go straight to Rural King, because there's a 1 in 10 chance TSC will actually have what you need and a 9 in 10 chance Rural King will. Having a gun/ammo section was a nice addition when they put it in a few years ago.

Wish we had one here in Minnesota. Closest is 400 and some to Peru, Illinois. Fleet Farm here is a joke in my humble opinion.
