XT could be a 301 gas or propane also, but if it's a diesel, it will have a turbo. Check the ID tag on the engine to tell what engine you have. If it's a diesel, a 2900 will be a 190xt and a 2800 will be a 190. If it's a gas or LP, a 2800 will be a 190xt and a 2500 will be a 190. That doesn't mean the engine couldn't have been swapped and the rear end is from a straight 190, but for a 67 model, I want to say it was before they had done any updates on the rear end for the 190xt, so it just had the same rear end as the 190. I'm not sure if the 190xt had a distinctive serial number from the 190. The serial number would be on the bell housing.

If it's an XT it will say XT on the serial number. Any serial number below 19,000 should have sloped fenders and a bar grill.

Indeed, you can see it on the serial number if it it an XT or not. You'll find it on the lef side of the tractor. Mine says: 26829XTD Edited by Dutchboy Johan - 02 Jul 2010 at 6:05am |
