How hard is it to replace the clutch in a wd45? I have been noticing it slipping when I take off in high gear.

Remove hood and then radiator. Pull steering shaft up and out. Pull hand crank shaft forward. Remove the engine from chassis. Are you sure it isn't the hand clutch slipping ??

Hand clutch is much easier to check and adjust before having to yank the engine, does the hand clutch lever stay back and have a nice click when thrown forward?

Would the hand clutch slip when releasing the foot clutch but the hand clutch is locked back in the driving position
|

Put it on a dyno. If the PTO slips under load, it's the foot clutch.

Pull the battery box and remove the cover over the hand clutch and measure the gap. This is much easier than replacing the foot clutch just to find out you chose wrong.
