If the foot clutch has failed, the PTO will not pull a load either. Shift into any gear with Power Director lever in low or high and the PTO should NOT turn if the foot clutch is the problem. I take it the gearshift feels OK, the tractor just won't move ??

The PTO Turns fine, It does not have a load on the PTO, but it starts turning the second you engage it. Thanks again for helping me, I know everyone's time is valuable.

Just an opinion, but if the foot clutch was out the gears would grind horrible , he says it will go into gear

No grinding unless you go to reverse. Feels like it goes in the other gears fine.

If the PTO works, the foot clutch is fine. Seems funny the way you describe it. I'm not there. I give up.

Maybe a problem in the final drives or a broken axle?

On the early model 185 we have had same type of issues at 10 degrees or colder-- tractor will shift into gear, not move. PTO & steering work fine, not sure about the director because no forward or reverse movement. Allow to run for about 10 min and everything is fine- and has been that way for several years. Tractor has high hours -- I always thought the shifter may not allow to fully catch the gear when very cold due to wear. Feels like it's in gear though. Maybe the same type of an issue?? This one to date still operates fine under normal conditions.

To me it sounds like the valve for the power director is stuck in neutral position. Just a guess on my part.

Did you move the power director while unhooking the trailer?

Did not move the power director, Let it run for a long time to warm it up to see if it would move. How hard is it to check the power director and the spider gear pin?

If the differential spider pin fell out, you'd be able to grind ALL GEARS with engine running and clutch pedal up and Power Director lever in low or high.
