Off color in the sense I'm working on my Ford 6610. But what is the consensus of the "economy" no-name aftermarket hydraulic pumps on the market today? I am looking at a new pump for my 6610 because it stripped the shaft and splined hub inside the main body gear where it goes to drive the low pressure section of the pump for the PTO and Dual Power circuit. The parts to fix it are $350-$400 range, and the aftermarket replacements can be had for as low as $230. I know they are likely throw-away pumps in that they won't use the OEM seals and gears, but for the diffrence (a reman from NH or a new Dynamatic OEM pump are $6-800), if the reliability is decent on these pumps, I feel it might be worth the risk, especially when money is tight on the repair budget.
