Fellow Forum Member, sent me some cool pics to post of a circa 1956 "Power Selling" educational box kit we recently discovered, rediscovered for that matter, buried under the sales counter at his family's dealership.

A pretty neat piece of AC memorabilia.

It appears to have been an effort of Allis-Chalmers to ensure their dealers were keeping knowledgeable, up to date, savvy salesmen on staff.

Not sure how the process went, maybe it was used to keep current salesmen on their toes or say you were working on your local dealership and you wanted to move up from stocking shelves and sweeping floors; if you thought you had what it took to be in sales....maybe the boss would send you home with a few info packets from the kit every night to study and then you had to take one of the included quizzes to make sure it all sank in. Pass the entire "Power Selling" challenge and you were then worthy of representing the proud Persian Orange line!

We'd love to know if anyone else out there has one, and really would like to know if your kit contains the same type of materials and determine if mikez's is still complete....

Enjoy the pics Below:

That is one piece of Allis Chalmers Memorabelia that I treasure.  My father used it.
Good Luck!

Thanks for posting jay, defiantly some cool stuff in there.
Bill Dave you have seen these before.
The thing that baffles me is dad said Rex just worked for gramp and wasn't a "salesmen". And knowing how my grandfather was he probably didn't want to do it and just had Rex take part in it instead.

That is awesome. Thanks for sharing. Please retake & post a photo of the typed salesman paper that refers to WWII tactics. It has a shadow which makes it un-readable.

Mike, do you mean PM's?  If so, you have to erase older ones to get more room.  When you go to PM someone, look at (click on) the "Inbox" or "Outbox" tabs.  At the bottom of the message box, on the left hand side, you'll see a gauge and it tells you how much space you have left.  It the green line is all the way to the right, you need to get rid of some old PM's.  Hope This Helps
