It souldn't be 93 deg. on May 25 in Central Maine. But it was at 3:30. I had been planting pumpkins and had a better idea. My wife's MM Avery Model V is in the shop and needs lots of TLC. Thanks to the concrete floor and good insulation, it was 70 deg in there. Guess where I spent the afternoon. Bob@allisdowneast.

Great choice, Bob! Same conditions here in MA. I was unlucky or unwise or both - spent the whole day out in the sun!

I Agree with you steve winters are much to long and far to cold. The sun and the heat feel migthy fine.I use to go all day up in the hay mow on days like these but since i had heat stroke I do have to watch how much I do in the heat

Yeah, heat stroke could be bad news sometimes Big G. Gotta' stay outta' the sun and find a shady spot to work on the tractors... lol! Still, summer is great!! I'm a t-shirt kinda guy.

We had our first 100 degree day here in Mesa a few days ago. The hottest day last summer was 117. Hope I am in Albert City when it gets that hot here this summer.

I think we hit 68 here today. Spent most of the day setting up irrigation for the school farm, temp was just right. Planted some Illini Super Sweet corn tonight and 30 hills of pumpkins....supposed to be cooler and rainy the rest of the week. I'll take 68 over 88 any day of the week!

Don't get me wrong. I like summer too. And I don't complain about the summer temps because I do complain about the winter cold. Doesn't seem right to complain about both. But finding s cool spot on a hot day works for me. Bob@allisdowneast

Yeah. Right after I retired, people would ask "what are you going to do today?", and I would say "whatever I want". Now, a few years later, when they ask, I say "whatever I'm able to do"........FWIW

Why is there never time to do it right the first time, but always time to go back and fix it?
